Arab Teachers and high school students in WAC's activities to support the teachers' strike Two solidarity meetings were organized in the weekend to support the teachers strike. In Kufr Qara on Thursday (Nov.29th) WAC was joined by the regional secretary of the High Schools Teachers Organization, Mr. Gazi Ayub who explained the issues in the strike and called on teachers and students to stand firm in support of the strike.

In Kufr Manda on Saturday (Dec. 1st) Mr. Khaled Darawsheh, a member of the national secretariat of the HSTO made it clear that the union is not ready to reduce its struggle to the demand on salaries and insisted that they will not give up on its demands to change the conditions of the classrooms in the schools and especially its demand to reduce the number of pupils in class. The National Coordinator of WAC, Assaf Adiv, explained why WAC sees the teachers strike as a new brand to workers struggle and emphasized the need to activate the teachers, students and parents in a fight that puts forward the crucial issues of the priorities of the government.
